Welcome Week | Semester Kick Off
From the moment you are accepted into the Program, you’re part of the JLA Tribe! Welcome Week is hosted the first week of Spring & Fall Semester. This Week is packed with epic gatherings, tribe bonding, and plenty of food! This Week is all designed to help you connect, buckle up, and get excited for what’s ahead!
JLA Retreat | Unplug
Sometimes, you just need to step away from the routine and get refreshed. Our annual retreat is a chance to unplug, hear from God, and build deeper friendships while having a blast! Expect bonfires, worship under the stars, powerful sessions, and plenty of adventure!
International Missions Trip | Community Outreach | Go Beyond Your Comfort Zone
Each year, JLA students embark on an eye-opening mission trip, and throughout the semester serve our local Orlando community! By spreading hope, love, and the Gospel across the neighborhood and world. Whether you’re serving in a remote village or a bustling city, you’ll experience life-changing moments as you step out in faith and see God move in powerful ways!
Gym Membership | Stay Strong, Stay Focused
A healthy body fuels a strong mind and spirit! Every student gets a complimentary gym membership, so whether you love lifting, cardio, or group workouts, you can stay active while balancing ministry, school, and life!
SEU Conference | Be Inspired, Be Equipped
One of the biggest highlights of the year! At SEU Conference, students gather with thousands of young leaders to experience powerful worship, dynamic speakers, and breakthrough moments that will shape their faith and future!

Tribe Nights | Student Gatherings
Once a month, we gather for Tribe Nights—an evening filled with games, worship, and real conversations with leaders and students. Whether it’s a worship night, a themed event, or just hanging out, these nights bring our JLA community closer together.
Mentorship & Counseling | Own Your Growth
Every leader needs a strong support system, and at JLA, you’ll have mentors, pastors, and leaders pouring into youevery step of the way. Through personal mentorship and leadership coaching, you’ll be challenged, encouraged, and equipped for your next step.
Academics
JLA partners with Southeastern University to provide you with a world-class faith-based education. SEU is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS), which is considered one of the highest accreditors in the U.S. This also allows students to transfer credits from a majority of colleges and universities. Beyond a degree, you will receive leadership development opportunities, Leadership classes from committed leaders with tailored curricula, and hands-on experience at Journey Church.
